What if I'm not sure if I need medications?

Great news! We can have a full discussion about your current health and symptoms, then discuss the risks and benefits of medication. Ultimately it is you who decides if you want to use them as a tool for wellness.

How many visits will I need with you to be stabilized on medications?

If you are just starting on medications, or need adjustments to your medications, We recommend 2-4 visits over several months.

If you have been taking the same medications for more than a few months and are stable, We usually recommend 1 visit every 3 months.

If you have high-risk conditions like suicidality, an eating disorder, self-harm, or recurrent relapse, We recommend that you see us more often.

What if I can't pay with your online platform?

There is an option to mail a check as payment. However, this option may delay the start of your treatment.

Do you prescribe controlled substances like Xanax or Adderall?

We do prescribe controlled substances as recommended by evidenced-based guidelines.

Long-term daily benzodiazepine therapy, like Xanax, is not recommended for any behavioral health condition.

We assist clients with tapering off benzodiazepines, and occasionally prescribe small amounts to use as needed.

Stimulants like Adderal are recommended as first-line treatment for ADD/ADHD.
